 Ordering & Payment

Q.  Do I have to place my order online?
A. 
You do not have to place your order online.  You can fax your order to (916) 458.6422 or email it to us at sales@bigbreeddog.com.  Once we receive your order, we will call to get your credit card information.

Do I have to use my credit card online to order?
A. 
No. You can submit your order online and select "Order by Phone" in the Payment Methods section. Call our Support Department toll free at 1-888-478-6551 to provide your credit card number.

Q.  Will there be sales tax on my purchase?
A.
  Applicable sales tax is charged on the total invoice amount for items shipped to CA, FL, NY, and MO.

Q.  Why do you need my phone number and e-mail address?
A. 
We require this information in the event that we need to contact you about your order. Please feel confident that the personal information you provide is not used for any additional purposes or given to any other sources. For further information regarding the measures we take to protect your information, please review our Privacy Policy.

Q.  Will I get any notification from BigBreedDog.com that my order was received?
A. 
Yes. We will send you a confirmation e-mail as soon as we receive your order. We will also provide information on our site about the progress of your order. Use our Order Tracking button to check its status.

Q.  How do I track my order?

Click on the "Track" at the top of the page or click here, put in your order # and it will provide you with the tracking information. Or, alternately, email us and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

Q.  Is my credit card information safe and secure when ordering at BigBreedDog.com?

  Rest assured that BigBreedDog.com has the best online security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse and alteration of the information under our control. You can trust that our order form is protected when you see the secure symbol at the bottom of your web browser. If you still do not feel comfortable using your credit card online, then please call us and we can do it over the phone.

Q.  Can I use a check or money order to pay?
A.  Yes. Select this option in the Payment Methods section and follow the instructions for mailing your payment to BigBreedDog.com.  However, we will not be able to mail out your order until your check has cleared the bank.  This could take 7-10 business days from the time we receive the check.   There is a $20 fee for all returned checks.

Q.  What payment methods do you accept?

We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express through our secure merchant gateway.

Q.  I lost my receipt or forgot to print it out! Can I get a copy?
A. 
Yes. We keep a record of all orders placed electronically. Send a request for a copy to sales@bigbreeddog.com, and put "Request Copy of Receipt, Order # (Your Order # here)" in the subject line of your e-mail.

Q.  What if my product is not in stock when I order?
A.   If your order is out of stock, we will notify you of the expected shipping date and you will have the option of a refund or to wait for the item.

 Shipping

Q.  How long will my product take to ship?
A.   It generally takes 24 to 48 hours to process your order before it ships and depending on your shipping address, it can take between 5 to 7 days for domestic orders. We try to ensure the fastest shipping possible, so if it can be there sooner, it will.  In addition, if you’re ordering any item that is custom, there will be a minimum 2 week lead time.

Where are your products shipped from?
A.   Our pet supplies are shipped from various warehouses around the continental US.

Q. 
Do you offer faster delivery than ground shipping?
A.   Yes. If you need expedited shipping please send an email with your shipping address, the item(s) you are interested in and the time frame you need to receive them to support@bigbreeddog.com. We will check stock and email you a shipping quote along with ordering options.

Q.  Can you ship orders to Alaska or Hawaii?
A.   
Yes. Typically we use Priority Mail from the United States Postal Service for small one and two item orders. As of 2005, UPS Ground now has delivery service to both states. For larger orders, we ask that you contact us directly for a shipping quote toll free at 1-888-478-6551.

Q.  I don't live in the USA. Can I still order a mat?
A. 
We can ship orders to Canada. We rarely ship products overseas, but have on a few occasions. Realistically, the shipping costs and insurance for overseas shipping may not be feasible for you. Our online order form is only set up to accept orders and payment for customers within the United States. International customers please contact us direct at 1-888-478-6551 to obtain a shipping quote or place an order.

Q.  Can I get a catalog of your products?

Yes and No! You may not have realized it but our website is a Virtual Online Catalog of all our products with images, specs and color selections! We are consistently adding new products, color and sizes to our line of large breed dog products. To continuously update a product catalog for our customers would be very time consuming and costly. We have opted to keep our overhead low by not producing offline catalogs, thus passing this cost saving on to our customers.

Q.  Where are you located?

Our Sales and Customer Service Department is located in California. We have several distribution centers throughout the United States.

Q.  What is your return policy?
A.   We accept returns for 30 days as long as the product hasn’t been used or is defective

Q.  I need to cancel my order! What should I do?
A. 
Please contact us as soon as possible at 1-888-478-6551 to notify us. If your order has already shipped, it will be considered a Return not a cancellation.  Please review our policy on cancellations in our Return Policy.

 Doggie Dooley Underground Waste Systems

General Information:
These units do not work as effectively in soils with heavy clay content. To check for proper drainage, add 5 gallons of water after digging the hole. If the water drains completely in 48 hours, the unit should work properly.

The manufacturer recommends using Dooley Waste terminator (digester powder) with all units, especially if dogs are fed a highly digestible food such as Iams, Science Diet, or Eukanuba, or other premium foods.

Too much chlorine in your water can stop or slow digestive action. Leaving a pail of water in the sun will evaporate the chlorine. This could take from 1-2 hours, or up to an entire day if the chlorine level is very high.

Digestive action will start at 40° F and increases as the temperature rises. When temperatures drop below 40° you will want to discontinue use of the unit. When it warms up again, simply re-start the unit as in the beginning (adding water, stool, and digester powder).

Select a site for these units away from your house, tree roots, the path of you lawn mower, and an area of your yard where there is never standing water. Try to locate an area with minimum clay content and check for proper drainage first.

Q.  Which In-Ground Waste Disposal System is right for me?
A.  There are many factors to consider when deciding on an In-Ground Waste Disposal System. The size and quantity of your dog(s) and the size hole that you want to dig are the main factors.

Q.  What type of stool digester should I use with my Doggie Dooley System?
A.  The Doggie Dooley System comes with the Dooley Waste Terminator which will work fine even if you feed your dog a highly digestible food such as Iams, Science Diet, Eukanuba or other premium food.

Q.  What climate can I use a Doggie Dooley System in?
A. 
The digester in the Dooley Systems starts working at 40° F and increases in effectiveness as the temperature increases. It will not work when the temperature is lower than 40° F. If the temperature is below 40° F, use hot water to activate the digester.

Q.  What type of soil is best for a Doggie Dooley System?
A.  The best soil is a soil that has good drainage with little to no clay and /or gravel.

Q.  My soil has a lot of clay, can I dig the hole deeper than it needs to be and add gravel to it?
A.  Digging a deeper hole and adding gravel will not help. Once the area with the gravel is full of digester and digested stool, then it will back up onto your yard.
